Chant’s funeral home faces formal inquiry

The board that regulates Nova Scotia funeral homes says there will be a formal inquiry into the professional conduct of some of the employees of Chant’s Funeral Home in Sydney.
Board executive manager Kortney Adams says they will be reviewing a couple of individual licences held by Chant’s funeral directors and embalmers.
A date for the inquiry hasn’t been set, although the people who are under review have been notified.
Adams says it will probably be a couple of months before the inquiry is held due to the amount of information involved with the file.
The inquiry will be set for two days and witnesses will be called during the proceedings.
