450 members of the 4th Engineer Support Regiment based in Gagetown, New Brunswick are beginning their military exercise, in Cape Breton today.
The soldiers are based at a camp in Sydney’s Open Hearth Park.
But the exercise will see members of the Regiment carrying out projects across Cape Breton.
The projects include renovations to St. Alphonsus Church in Victoria Mines and reopening a trail used by the British during the siege on the Fortress of Louisbourg.
The exercise will run until November 23rd.
