On Canada Day, 2013, the inaugural Canada History Week was launched.
The Week, that runs from July 1 – 7 each year, is an opportunity for all Canadians from coast to coast to coast to learn about the people and events that have shaped our great nation on the local and national level. Canada has a rich history, and our Government is proud to create opportunities for Canadians to learn about it. During Canada History Week, all Canadians are encouraged to visit a museum, tour one of our great national historic sites, or speak to a veteran, and learn what makes Canada the united, strong, and free country we live in today.
The story of Canada is full of unique people, places and events, all waiting to be discovered.
