Sydney Mines Woman Charged With Murder in Car-Pedestrian Collision Due in Court, Today
A Sydney Mines woman charged in the death of a 28-year-old woman who was hit by a car on Friday is due in court today.
36-year-old Kimberly Ann O’Dea faces counts of second degree murder and criminal negligence causing death.
Regional Police say they got called to Oxford Avenue in Sydney Mines at around 7:00 on Friday morning.
They add a woman was airlifted to Halifax hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car.
They go on to say she later died from her injuries.
Police also say the women knew each other.
O’Dea was held at the Cape Breton Correctional Centre over the weekend to await today’s court appearance.
