Special Olympics Torch in Cape Breton, Today

The Special Olympics Flame of Hope is due at City Hall in Sydney, at 9:30 this morning.

Police officers from across the country have been carrying the torch around the province ahead of the Special Olympic Summer Games in Antigonish.

This morning, it was carried on a boat across Sydney Harbour.

The torch will also make stops today in Membertou at 11:00 this morning and at the Fortress of Louisbourg at 2:00, this afternoon.

14-hundred athletes from across the country will compete in the Games in Antigonish.

The opening ceremony takes place tomorrow.
