Resumption Of Marine Atlantic Ferry Crossings Could Be Brief
Marine Atlantic ferries are due to sail again today after being tied up since Friday because of high winds and rough seas.
But the Crown Corporation is warning the resumption of service could be short-lived.
It says it expects tomorrow night’s crossings will be affected by the weather.
There are now gale and freezing spray warnings in effect for the Cabot Strait with winds of up to 83 km/hr tomorrow evening.
More than 200 tractor trailer loads are waiting at the Marine Atlantic terminal in North Sydney for the next crossing that’s due to leave at 12:30, this afternoon.
