Municipality Warns About People Impersonating Water Utility Workers

The Cape Breton Regional Municipality says it’s had reports of people impersonating Water Utility workers trying to get into homes.

The municipality says Water Utility staff do, from time to time, need to get into people’s homes.

But they say municipal workers will have a vehicle with a Water Utility logo.

They’ll also have a uniform with the same logo, and a CBRM identification badge.

The municipality says people can call the Water Department if they have concerns about a water utility worker asking to enter their homes.
