Highland Village to get $270 000 overhaul

The federal government is investing 270 thousand dollars in the Highland Village in Iona.

Sydney-Victoria MP Mark Eyking made the announcement yesterday afternoon at the outdoor museum.

The money is being made available through Canadian Heritage’s Canada Cultural Spaces Fund and will span two years.

The funding will be used to build a new welcome centre for visitors, turn the current welcome centre into a cultural resources centre, and add new features to the 43-acre outdoor museum.
