Attempted Murder Accused Released

A man accused of attempted murder after shootings in Sydney Mines last month has been released from custody.

42 year-old Raymond Shawn Daniel Leroy was in court today for a fourth bail hearing in the case.

In addition to the attempted murder charge, Leroy is also facing counts of aggravated assault, uttering threats, break and enter, and firearms charges.

The shootings on December 22nd sent a 28 year-old man, a 41 year-old man and a 21-year-old woman to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

An arrest warrant was issued for Leroy and he later turned himself in at the Sydney Courthouse.

He’s now due back in court for a plea hearing on February 27th.
