Power Outages and Cancellations This Morning

There are more than17-thousand customers in the province without power this morning after heavy, wet snow on the mainland yesterday and high winds today.

There are Cape Breton outages in Sydney, an area from Marion Bridge to Albert Bridge and a stretch from Sydney Forks to Grand Narrows.

Estimated restoration times range from 9:15 this morning until noon.

This morning’s Air Canada flight to and from Halifax at the McCurdy Sydney Airport has been cancelled and there are a number of cancellations at the Halifax Stanfield Airport.

Marine Atlantic has postponed crossings from North Sydney and Port aux Basques until tonight, weather permitting.

Ferry crossings to PEI are also cancelled, today.
