OVEC Teacher Charged With Uttering A Threat Due To Enter A Plea, Next Month

A 54-year-old teacher is due back in court next month to enter a plea to a charge of uttering a threat against a student at Oceanview Education Centre in Glace Bay.

The charge against James Edward Ryan from New Waterford dates back to February.

Ryan is on leave from his Grade 7 teaching job.

He continues his release on a condition he have no contact with the male student.

He’s due back in court on June 11th.
