Zach Churchill Running For Liberal Leadership

Yarmouth MLA Zach Churchill says he’ll officially launch his campaign for the provincial Liberal leadership tomorrow.

Churchill was first elected in a 2010 byelection and has served as the minister of education, health, natural resources, communications and municipal affairs.

Preston MLA Angela Simmonds is so far the only other person to declare an intention to run for the leadership.

Iain Rankin announced last month he plans to step down as Liberal leader.

The new leader will be chosen at a convention on July 9^th.
