by RCMP say a Port Hastings woman is believed to have died as a result of drowning at a beach in Inverness County yesterday.
They say they got the call to Day Park Beach in Port Hood at about 3:30 yesterday afternoon.
They say the 82 year-old woman was found unresponsive in the water by kayakers.
They say efforts were made to resuscitate her, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman’s name has not been released.
