Woman Charged With Murder Fighting Eviction From Her Home

A woman facing a charge of second-degree murder in the death of her former partner is due back in court today as she fights eviction from her Sydney Mines home.

35 year-old Kimberly Ann O’Dea also faces a count of criminal negligence causing death.

She’s charged in the death of 28 year-old Dana Marie Jessome from Sydney Mines who died after being hit by a vehicle in Sydney Mines in July.

The Oxford Street home O’Dea is renting was damaged in an arson fire while she was in custody.

She has a rent to own agreement with landlord Allana Serroul who’s won an interim court order giving her temporary possession of the property.
