A Sydney Mines woman and her three daughters are due back in court today on charges of tax fraud totaling more than 3.6 million dollars.
74 year-old Lydia Saker, 47 year-old Georgette Young from Sydney, 45 year-old Angela MacDonald from Kentville, and 23 year-old Nadia Saker from Leitches Creek are expected to enter pleas today.
The charges date to between 2010 and 2015, and include 10 companies owned and operated by the family.
They’re accused of using their companies to claim tax refunds they didn’t quality for.
During a court appearance in May it was recommended the four should have their own lawyer because of the amount of information in the case.
