Whycocomagh Man Dies In Accident In Antigonish County

An 81 year-old Whycocomagh man has been identified as the person who died after a four-vehicle crash in Antigonish County on Wednesday morning.

RCMP say three of the vehicles were stopped on Highway 104 in Linwood because of construction.

They say a grey station wagon didn’t slow down for the stopped traffic and rear-ended a white SUV, causing a chain reaction of crashes.

Police say the driver of the grey station wagon suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on route to the hospital.

The passenger suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance along with the passenger in another car.
