Week Two of Barrett Murder Trial Starts, Today

The murder trial of Thomas Ted Barrett is set to resume today in Sydney court.

The 40 year-old Glace Bay man is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 21 year-old Brett Elizabeth MacKinnon.

Her remains were found in woods in Glace Bay in 2008 after she was reported missing, 2 years earlier.

The trial opened last week with testimony from two witnesses who say Barrett confessed to killing MacKinnon.

A third witness said Barrett admitted he killed a woman but wouldn’t give her name.

The mother of Barrett’s two children and one his former girlfriends are expected to testify, this week.
