Weather Affects Ferry Services in the Region

The provincial Department of Transportation says the Englishtown ferry is not running this morning.

The service has been suspended because of high winds and rough seas.

Meanwhile, the weather is also affecting Marine Atlantic ferry crossings.

The Crown Corporation says tonight’s 11:45 crossing from North Sydney will leave at 3:30, this afternoon.

This morning’s 11:45 crossing from North Sydney won’t leave until 11:45 tomorrow morning.

There are now storm and gale warnings in effect for the Cabot Strait.

The ferry service to PEI is cancelled today because of weather conditions.
