Water Boil Advisory for New Waterford System

A boil water advisory has been issued for the New Waterford water system.

CBRM Water Utility says this includes New Waterford, Scotchtown, River Ryan, New Victoria and Lingan.

The advisory has been issued as a precautionary measure from one water sample with quality concerns.

The water boil will remain until the Utility gets two clear samples at the same location in two days.

CBRM says all customers are asked to boil all water for at least one minute before drinking or any other activity for water consumption.

The earliest the boil will be lifted is Monday afternoon.
