Voting Now Open In Municipal Election

People in the Regional Municipality can now vote by either phone or internet 24 hours a day until 7:00 on the night of October 17th.

Electronic voting for this year’s municipal election started at 8:00 this morning.

There are no paper ballots this year for the first time ever because of COVID-19.

Six candidates are vying for the Mayor’s seat and there are 49 candidates for the 12 Regional Council seats.

People who need help voting or didn’t get a Personal Identification Number in the mail can call the voters Help Desk at 902-563-8009.
