Visitor Restrictions at 2 West Northside General Acute Care Unit

The provincial Health Authority says visitor restrictions are in effect at the 2 West acute care unit at the Northside General Hospital in North Sydney.

It says the restrictions are in place to help limit the spread of a gastrointestinal illness among patients on the 15-bed unit.

Patients are allowed only two visitors at a time and they have to be either immediate family or next of kin.

No children under the age of 12 are allowed to visit.

And, visitors have to wash their hands before and after they visit.
