Virtual Urgent Care Service Being Extended

The province says it’s extending its Virtual Urgent Care service indefinitely.

The service is available to all Nova Scotians with a valid health card, email and audio/video capable devices.

Nova Scotia Health says the service is for minor care needs ranging from prescription refills or renewals to mild strains and sprains, minor respiratory problems, tick bites and mental health concerns.

Starting tomorrow, the service will be available from 8 in the morning to noon on weekends.

It will also be available on weekdays from 10 in the morning to 6 in the evening.

People can access the service by calling 1-833-413-0277.
