Victoria Co. Man Facing Weapons, Threat Charges

A 37 year-old man is facing a long list of charges after RCMP say he made threats while carrying a firearm and rammed a police vehicle in Victoria County earlier this week.

The charges against Waylon Joseph McLellan from Capstick include Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm and assaulting a peace officer, as well as three counts of uttering threats and two impaired driving charges.

Police say they got a call to a home in Saint Margaret Village Wednesday night about someone carrying a gun.

They say the man drove away the home and later rammed a police vehicle before running into the woods.

Police say they were able to contact the man by phone and he was arrested a short time later.

They say no one was hurt and their investigation continues.
