Vaccination Clinic Runs Out Of Doses In Sydney

The drop-in COVID-19 vaccination clinic at Centre 200 in Sydney turned people away this morning because it ran out of vaccine.

People say they were waiting outside in the cold and were told by security to go home because the clinic only had 240 doses of vaccine.

The provincial Health Department says the Centre 200 clinic is a mobile outreach clinic meant for people who want to get vaccinated without having an appointment in advance.

It says outreach clinics get a set amount of vaccine each day based on their capacity and current supply and how long it lasts depends on how many people show up.

The Department also notes there are a number of other ways to get vaccinated, including pharmacies and doctors’ offices, and people are being advised to check the booking site often as appointments are added frequently through the week.

Another vaccine clinic is still scheduled at Centre 200 tomorrow from 10 am to 3 pm.
