Two Overnight Fires in CBRM Under Investigation

Officials in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality are investigating two overnight fires.

Regional Deputy Fire Chief Brent Denny says one fire took place at a single story home at 330 Curran Street in New Waterford.

A garage and vehicle fire on Wallace Road, New Victoria, is also under investigation, today.

Last night’s fires follows one the night before at a three-unit apartment building at 485 Townsend Street in Sydney.

That fire has been deemed suspicious and marks the 12th suspicious fire in the CBRM in recent weeks.
