Two New Long-Term Care Centres Planned For Northside

The province says it’s planning to build two new long-term care homes on the Northside to replace two older facilities.

It says the Northside Community Guest Home in North Sydney and Miners Memorial Manor in Sydney Mines will be replaced by 2032.

The Northside Community Guest Home will be replaced with a new 144-room home, while Miners Memorial will be replaced with a new 64-room facility, adding 14 more long-term care rooms to the area.

The new facilities are part of the recent addition of 2,200 rooms to the province’s long-term care infrastructure plan.
