Two Facing Charges After Protests Outside Dr. Strang’s Home

RCMP say two people arrested after anti-mask protests outside chief medical officer of health Dr. Robert Strang’s home, have now been charged.

36 year-old Jeremy Mitchell MacKenzie from Pictou and 31 year-old Morgan May Guptill from Cole Harbour were arrested by Halifax Police in Dartmouth, last night.

They each face counts of Criminal Harassment, Mischief, Harassing Phone Calls and Intimidation of a Health Professional.

The Mounties say there were protesters outside Strang’s home on Sunday night, Monday night and last night.

Strang says his home also got crank calls until 2:00 on Sunday morning.
