Two Election Recounts Taking Place Today

Dates have been scheduled for the three recounts from the May 30th provincial election.

Two of the recounts will take place at the Halifax courthouse starting at 9:30, this morning.

One of them is for the riding of Guysborough-Eastern Shore-Tracadie where Progressive Conservative Rob Wolf lost to Liberal cabinet minister Lloyd Hines by 71 votes.

The other is for Waverley-Fall River-Beaverbank where P-C hopeful Dan McNaughton lost to Liberal Bill Horne by 66 votes.

A recount for Chester–St. Margaret’s will take place at the Halifax courthouse on Monday morning.

NDP candidate Denise Peterson-Rafuse lost by 90 votes to Liberal Hugh MacKay in that constituency.

Elections Nova Scotia says it will publish the results as soon as each recount is finished.
