The province is reporting two cases of COVID-19 connected to Joseph Howe Elementary in Halifax.

It says the school will be closed to students until Friday to allow for testing of close contacts and a deep cleaning.

The two school cases are on top of eight new COVID cases and one death reported, yesterday.

Meanwhile, Premier Iain Rankin and chief medical officer of health Dr. Robert Strang are scheduled to give a COVID-19 update at 3:00 this afternoon.
