Two Cases Of COVID-19 In Halifax Area Schools

The province is reporting its first cases of COVID-19 in schools.

Both schools are in the Halifax area.

The Department of Education says one person at Graham Creighton Junior High in Cherry Brook and another person at Auburn Drive High in Cole Harbour have tested positive for COVID-19.

It says everyone in a class with the confirmed cases is being tested and asked to quarantine for 14 days.

The two school cases bring the total number of COVID-19 cases reported yesterday to four.

Meanwhile, Premier Stephen McNeil and chief medical officer of health Dr. Robert Strang are giving a COVID-19 update at 3:00 this afternoon.
