Two New Waterford men are being in held in custody after an armed robbery and an attempted armed robbery in New Waterford Monday.
29 year-old Aaron Shaun Young faces charges of robbery, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, wearing a disguise while intending to commit an offence and two breaches.
He’s due back in Sydney provincial court on Sept. 12.
44 year-old Wilbur Bernard Woodland faces two counts of robbery.
He’s due back in court tomorrow.
Police say the attempted armed robbery happened at the bank machine at the Scotia Bank on Plummer Avenue shortly after 7:00 on Monday morning.
They add a 44 year old new Waterford man suffered a minor injury in the incident.
About an hour later, police got a call to the Needs Store on Plummer Avenue, where they say a man wearing a disguise came into the store with a weapon.
He got away with an un-disclosed amount of money.
