Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will announce the federal/provincial infrastructure program for Nova Scotia at a public event in the province, later this morning.
Trudeau is due at Jubilee Park in Bridgetown at 10:00.
He’ll be joined by Premier Stephen McNeil and the Liberal MP for the area Colin Fraser.
During the federal election Trudeau promised to double infrastructure spending over the next 10 years.
Ottawa is committing $6.6 billion over the next two years and today’s announcement will unveil Nova Scotia’s share.
After this morning’s announcement Trudeau will fly to New Glasgow for a public barbecue with area Liberal MP Scott Fraser.
