Trial Today For Second Nurse Charged After Patient Froze To Death On Regional Hospital Grounds

The trial is due to start today for the second nurse charged after a patient froze to death in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital parking lot.

48 year-old Valerie MacGillivary from Glace Bay faces a count of forgery in the case.

43 year-old Tammy Carrigan-Warner from Sydney River is also charged with forgery.

Her trial wrapped up late last month and the judge is due to deliver his verdict on April 28th.

Both MacGillivary and Carrigan-Warner were fired from their jobs after being accused of making false notes about the status of patient 79-year-old Colin Francis MacDonald whose body was found on hospital grounds.
