Trial dates set for Cassidy Bernard murder trial

The trial of a 21-year-old Wagmatcook man charged in the death of Cassidy Bernard is scheduled to take place over eight weeks starting in January of 2022.

Dwight Austin Isadore is facing second-degree murder charges in Bernard’s death, along with two counts of child endangerment.

Bernard was found dead in a We’koqma’q home in October of 2018; her twin daughters were found by her side.

Isadore was arrested in December; he’s been in custody since his arrest.

His judge and jury trial is set to run from January 17 to March 11 of 2022.

Isadore’s next hearing is scheduled for December 22, to confirm trial and pre-trial dates.
