Transport Truck Driver Facing Impaired Driving Charges

RCMP say a 33-year-old Bridgewater man is facing impaired driving charges after they got a 911 call about an impaired driver on Highway 4 in Howie Centre.

The Mounties say the call about a transport truck swerving on the highway came in shortly after 1:00 on Saturday afternoon.

They say police found the vehicle a short time later and pulled it over.

RCMP say the driver showed signs of impairment and later provided breath samples that were more than three times the legal limit.

He’s also been given summary offence tickets for Failing to Perform a Pre-trip Inspection, Operating a B-Train on a Highway that’s not a B-Train Route and Failing to have Daily Logs in his Possession.
