The RCMP have closed the Trans Canada Highway through Wagmatcook this morning as they investigate a pedestrian fatality. Police say they got the call about an injured person on Highway 105 in Wagmatcook west of Baddeck shortly after 1:00, this morning. They add officers found a dead man on the road when they arrived on the scene. Police say the highway will be closed for a number of hours because investigators need daylight. They’re telling drivers to take alternate routes. Nova Scotia Community College courses at the Wagmatcook Learning Centre have been cancelled today because of the road closure.
