Traffic Lights for Kyte’s Hill Area

The province plans to install traffic lights near the Kyte’s Hill Subdivision off the Sydney-Glace Bay Highway.

The lights will be going up at the intersection of Grand Lake Road and Yolanda Drive.

The area has seen a number of serious accidents in recent years, including one fatal accident.

Provincial Transportation Minister Geoff MacLellan says the province hopes to tender a design contract this fall, and adds the lights should be in place by the spring of next year.

He goes on to say the government is also considering the possibility of a roundabout in the area.
