RCMP say a tractor trailer overturned near the bottom of the mountain on the New Harris side at about 10:00 last night.
They say the load shifted when the vehicle was making a sharp turn and the accident sent debris across the highway.
The driver and passenger suffered minor injuries.
Police say their investigation continues.
