Tournament of Hearts Coming to Sydney

Sydney will host the 2019 Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

Officials with Curling Canada made the announcement this morning at Centre 200.

The national women’s’ competition will feature provincial and territorial champions from across the country, as well as the previous year’s winner representing Team Canada.

The 2019 tournament will be held from February 16^th to 24^th.

The province is kicking in 150-thousand dollars to support Sydney’s hosting of the event.

The Regional Municipality made a bid last year to host the 2018 Scotties, but lost out to Penticton, BC.
