Three People Forced From Their Home By South Bar Fire

A family of three have been forced from their rented home in South Bar by a fire that caused major damage to the structure.

Red Cross volunteers have arranged emergency lodging as well as food, clothes and other basics for the man, his adult son and his son’s girlfriend.

The Red Cross says there were no serious injuries in the blaze that was reported at around 6:30, yesterday morning.

However, the man’s son was treated briefly in hospital for smoke inhalation and then released.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
