Three Drivers Charged Over Long Weekend

Regional Police say they arrested three people for impaired driving over the long weekend.

Police say a 27-year-old Sydney man is facing counts of Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Refusal to Comply with a Drug Evaluation Demand. 

He was charged after police say two vehicles collided on the Sydney-Glace Bay Highway near the Lingan Golf Course at around 7:30 on Friday night.

Police say a 39-year-old Donkin man is facing charges of Refusing a Breath Demand and Breaches of a Probation Order after a vehicle went off the road later that night on the Donkin Highway near Sand Lake Road.

And a 29-year-old man is charged with Impaired Driving, Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm, and obstruction after police say an SUV collided with a motorcycle in Caribou Marsh at around 7:30 on Saturday night.

Police say the motorcycle driver was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
