Three Charged in North Sydney Beating Remain on Remand

Three people charged in connection with the brutal beating of a homeless man in North Sydney remain in custody after court appearances, yesterday.

 

A 16-year-old North Sydney girl who can’t be named because of her age faces counts of aggravated assault, wearing a disguise (a bandana) in committing an offence and two counts of breaching court orders.

 

She’s been denied bail and is now scheduled back in court on Aug. 20 to enter pleas to the charges.

 

22-year-old Jennifer Lynn MacLeod from Boularderie also faces charges of

aggravated assault, wearing a disguise (a bandana) in committing an offence and two counts of breaching court orders.

 

She’s already been denied bail and is scheduled back in court on Monday when she could enter pleas to the charges.

 

And, 22-year-old Cory Patrick Richard Blinkhorn from North Sydney is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, wearing a disguise (a bandana) in committing an offence and impersonating a police officer.

 

He continues to be on remand until his next court appearance on August 20th.

 

Regional Police have charged six people after 48 year-old Shawn Curtis Jack was found seriously injured in a North Sydney parking lot last month.

 

He remains in a Halifax hospital.
