Three Arrested In Drug Bust

Three people were arrested after Regional Police and RCMP officers raided homes on Meadows Road and Coxheath Road late Friday and early yesterday.

Police say they found cocaine, marijuana and shatter in the course of the searches.

39 year-old Wayne Ferguson and 29 year-old Nadine Poirier, both from Meadows Road, have been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.

They’re now in custody and are expected to appear in Sydney Provincial Court tomorrow.

Police say the third person arrested was a 46 year-old Coxheath resident who’s facing charges of unsafe storage of a weapon and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The person’s name and gender have not been released.

Police say the person has been released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.
