Three Arrested After Gunfire Reported In Sydney Mines

Regional Police say three men have been arrested after reports of shots fired in Sydney Mines this morning.

They say officers saw a truck speeding through the intersection near the police station at about 3 this morning, and the truck matched the description of the one spotted near a home on Main Street where the shots were reported.

Two people were in the home at the time but no one was hurt.

Police say they followed the truck onto the 125 Sydney Bypass, and the truck was met by other officers at the Sydport exit where the three men were arrested.

Their names haven’t been released.

Police are calling the case an isolated incident and they say an investigation is ongoing.
