Temporary Hot Water Shutdown At Regional Hospital Tomorrow

The Provincial Health Authority says there will be a hot water shutdown at the Regional Hospital in Sydney starting tomorrow to allow maintenance work to get done.

The shutdown will start at 8 PM and will last for about 12 hours until 8 AM on Saturday.

Following the shutdown, a hot water boil advisory will be in effect until 10 AM on Sunday.

Access to the hospital will not be affected but measures have been put in place for the shutdown and boil water advisory.

People are asked not to turn on hot water taps while the shutdown is underway.

Cold water will not be affected.

During the boil advisory, hot water can’t be used and people are asked to use alcohol-based hand sanitizer after washing their hands.
