Teachers Union Holding Runoff Vote For President

The Teachers Union is holding a run-off vote in its election for a new president.

The move comes after none of the seven candidates got a majority of votes of 50 percent plus one on the first ballot, yesterday.

The Union says Peter Day and Ryan Lutes are the candidates for the second ballot with the other five candidates dropped from the ballot.

The runoff vote will take place a week from today.

Current president Paul Wozney wasn’t eligible to reoffer because he’s already served two terms.
