Teachers’ Ratification Voted Delayed

Today’s school cancellations means the ratification vote for the province’s teachers will be delayed by 24 hours.

Teachers were due to vote on their third tentative contract offer from the province, today.

There’s widespread speculation they’ll also vote to reject the latest deal.

One of the major outstanding issues remains working conditions and there’s talk may teachers feel the latest offer doesn’t go far enough to address those concerns.
