Sydney Street Closures and CBU Closed

The Regional Municipality says there’s flooding on roads in the municipality this morning and drivers are being asked not try to drive through closed roads.

It says streets below Whitney Avenue in Sydney are closed along with connected side streets.

Townsend, Union, Brookland and Park streets are currently closed along with Royal, Cabot and Disco streets and St. Peter’s Road and Rigby Road.

Meanwhile, the Cape Breton University campus and CBU’s 500 George Street offices are closed today because of weather conditions.
