Sydney Rally to Protest Sexual Assault Verdict

A rally will be held in front of the Sydney Courthouse this afternoon to protest the acquittal of a Halifax taxi driver charged with sexually assaulting a female passenger.

Organizers say the rally is still going ahead, despite word the Crown is appealing the verdict.

The protest is organized by the Cape Breton University Students’ Union Women’s Centre and is due to start at 3:00.
