Sydney Mines Woman Due In Court After Waycobah Home Invasion

A Sydney Mines woman facing three charges after a home invasion in Waycobah is due in Port Hawkesbury Court, today.

22 year-old Jessica Carolanne Leroy faces counts of break-and-enter to a home, assault with a weapon and resisting arrest.

She was arrested after RCMP say a woman and three men went to a home in Waycobah in May.

They say there was a scuffle, and bear spray was used.

Police say another woman was injured when she was assaulted with a rock.

Leroy has been released on conditions.
